Chromawood¶
Five coloured wood families for ItemsAdder. Fifteen blocks, twenty five hand drawn 16x16 textures, and twenty five survival recipes that put every one of them in reach of an ordinary player with a dye.
It ships as the Ember Grove Chromawood Pack, volume one, under the
embercraft_chromawood namespace.
The five families¶
Redwood, Goldwood, Greenwood, Bluewood and Purplewood. Each family has planks, a log and a stripped log, so a build can use the whole vanilla wood vocabulary in a colour vanilla does not have.
The palette is deliberately muted. These read as stained timber rather than as wool or concrete, which is what makes them usable next to oak and spruce instead of only next to each other.
Every block carries wood sounds on break, place, hit and step, hardness 2.0 and blast resistance 3.0, matching vanilla planks. Logs and stripped logs rotate with the axis they are placed on, the same as a vanilla log.

Craftable, not command only. Fifteen dye recipes turn oak into colour and ten conversion recipes turn a coloured log into four planks. A player never needs an operator to get any block in the pack.
One namespace. Everything lives under embercraft_chromawood, with its own
tab in the ItemsAdder menu behind a permission you can hand out or hold back.
Entity blocks. Placed blocks use ItemsAdder's ENTITY model type, which is what allows a real 16x16 texture on all six faces rather than a note block variant. This needs one setting turned on, covered in Installing.
Vanilla fallbacks. Each block declares a concrete block of the matching colour as its fallback, so a client without the resource pack sees the right colour in the right place rather than a missing texture.
In game¶

Everything in the pack is one click away for anyone you grant the menu permission to. Every block is also reachable by crafting, so the menu is a convenience rather than the only door in.
Where to go next¶
Installing the pack is the part worth reading carefully. The entity block setting is the one thing that will make the pack look broken if it is missed.
The blocks lists every id, and the recipes lists every way to obtain them.
