Prices and the watchlist (Premium)¶
What things are worth¶
Every completed sale is recorded against its material as a price per item, and the going rate is the median of the recent ones.
Not the average. One player selling a stack of dirt for a million would drag an average into nonsense and cannot move a median at all. That single choice is the difference between a price guide players trust and one they learn to ignore.
Only completed sales count. Asking prices are wishes; a sale is a fact two people agreed on. Fewer than three sales and the plugin says it does not know, which is the honest answer.
Deals¶
A listing under the going rate is badged in the hall - 23% below market -
and Best Deal sorting puts the biggest discounts first. /ah price while
holding something tells you its going rate and how many sales that is based
on. prices.history-days is how far back it looks.
The watchlist¶
/ah watch. Hold an item, name a price, and you are told the moment one lists
under it. Players cannot sit in the auction house all day, and the ones who
try are the ones who buy everything cheap; this levels that.
